The Summer Internship Program (SIP) is an effort to satiate the student's curiosity about the corporate sector. It is an attempt to bridge the gap between the academic institution and the corporate world. Internships are extremely beneficial to students, looking for hands-on expertise where they can apply their experience and knowledge to actual business problems. As an intern, he/she can develop knowledge, competencies, and experiences related directly to his/her career goal. Internships also provide a great opportunity for recruiters to assess the quality, caliber, drive and fit of potential MBA recruits.

At INC, all the students who have embarked upon these four months of SIP surely gain deeper insight and knowledge of the corporate world. This helps the student interns not only to improve their communication skills, selling skills and analytical skills, but also helps them understand the current trends in the industry and make them aware of the corporate challenges. They can have a glimpse of themselves as to how dynamic and foresighted they are to meet the corporate challenges and to prove themselves to be a valuable asset for the organization.

INCAS, with a view to encouraging both the students and the faculty guides of SIP, has introduced awards of excellence for the best faculty guides as well as for the best performed student interns of SIP. The Best Faculty Guide and the Student Intern were felicitated with a cash prize, a memento and a Certificate of Appreciation. A function was conducted at all the SIP campuses across the country for this purpose and a glimpse of those functions are given alongside.
